Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Seconda Golf Bradnam, trading as Seconda Golf, operates this online store and the website at secondagolf.ch. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the site, buy from us, sell clubs to us, review a club or contact us, why we hold it, who else sees it and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the cookie rules of the Swiss Telecommunications Act.
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Some of the processing described below is carried out by Shopify on our behalf, and some is carried out by Shopify for its own purposes as a separate controller. Where that distinction matters, it is set out below.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Seconda Golf Bradnam, Thurgauerstrasse 40, 8050 Zürich, Switzerland.
You can reach us at hello@secondagolf.ch for any question about this policy or to exercise any of the rights described below.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address and billing address, together with the details of what you ordered and the record of the transaction. If you create an account we also hold the email address you sign in with and any preferences saved to it.
When you ask us for an offer on our sell page, we collect your name and email address, the club you describe with its declared condition and specifications, any notes you add and the payout method you would prefer. The form is a Shopify contact form: Shopify forwards it to our mailbox, and we reply to you by email with our offer.
When you sell clubs to us we also collect the address you give us for the box, any other contact details you give us in the course of the sale, our inspection record for each club, the offer we make and whether you accepted it, the payout method you chose and the progress of your sale. If you choose to be paid in cash, we record the amount due and the email address the payment link is sent to. We never see or hold your bank details, because you enter them directly with Wise, our payout provider.
When you write to us, whether by email or through a form on the site, we hold the content of that message and the contact details you used, so that we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed.
When you sign up for our emails we hold your email address, the fact and date of your sign-up, and information about which of our messages you opened or clicked.
When you leave a review we hold your name as you gave it, your email address, your rating, the text of the review and any photos you add. Your name, or the version of it you choose to display, is published alongside the review.
When you browse the site we collect technical information automatically: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you viewed and how you moved through the site. We also keep a record of the choices you make in our cookie settings. This is described in more detail under Cookies below.
We do not collect your card number. Payment details are entered on Shopify's payment pages and are handled by Shopify and its payment providers. We see only the payment method used, the last digits of the card and whether the payment succeeded.
Why we use it
We use your data to take and fulfil your order, to arrange delivery, to handle returns and warranty claims, to answer your questions and to keep the accounting records Swiss law requires us to keep. This processing is necessary to perform our contract with you and to comply with our legal obligations.
When you ask us for an offer and sell clubs to us, we use your data to price the clubs and send you our offer, to send you packaging, inspect what arrives, confirm or revise our offer, pay you and keep the purchase records Swiss law requires. This processing is necessary to take the steps you ask for before a contract, to perform our contract with you and to comply with our legal obligations.
We use it to run and improve the site, to keep the store secure and to detect and prevent fraud. This rests on our legitimate interest in operating a functioning and safe business.
After a purchase we may send you one email inviting you to review the club you bought. We do this in our legitimate interest in publishing honest feedback from real customers, and you can opt out using the link in that email. Reviews you submit are published on the site so that other golfers can read them.
We use it to send you marketing emails where you have agreed to receive them, including emails about the offer you asked for on our sell page and, now and then, news from Seconda Golf. When you send us your club's details, the sentence under the button tells you this and is the consent we rely on. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.
We keep a record of your cookie choices so that we can respect them on later visits and show that we did.
Who else sees it
We keep the number of parties involved deliberately small. Your data is disclosed to the following. Each acts on our instructions and only for the purposes set out above, except where we say below that it also acts as a controller in its own right.
Shopify hosts the store and processes orders and payments. Shopify also provides the tools we use for on-site search, translation of the site and some of our customer emails, and the contact form through which you send us your club's details. Shopify processes some data as its own controller in order to provide and improve its services, and its handling of that data is governed by the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
Planzer delivers your order and collects the clubs you sell to us. We pass Planzer your name, address and the contact details needed to arrange delivery or collection and to send you tracking updates, using the Plug & Planzer Paket integration to transmit your shipment details. Planzer is a Swiss company and processes this data in Switzerland.
Wise makes our cash payments to people who sell clubs to us. When you choose a cash payout, we pass Wise your name, the email address the payment link is sent to and the amount due, and Wise emails you a link to claim it. You enter your bank details with Wise directly, and Wise handles them as a separate controller under its own privacy policy, together with any checks the law requires of it. We never receive those details.
Microsoft provides the email service behind hello@secondagolf.ch, so any correspondence with us is stored there. Our Microsoft account is set to keep its data in Switzerland.
Google provides the analytics used on this site, described below.
Klaviyo sends our marketing emails, including emails about the offer you asked for on our sell page. When you send us your club's details, your email address and name, together with the club type, brand, model, condition and payout preference you entered, are passed to Klaviyo on the basis of the consent described above. Klaviyo also holds the record of which messages were opened and, where you have allowed marketing cookies, information about the products you viewed on our site.
Judge.me collects and publishes product reviews and sends review invitations on our behalf. It receives your name, email address and the details of the club you bought. Judge.me may also pass the link between your review and your purchase to Shopify so that the review can be shown in Shopify's Shop app.
Pandectes provides our cookie banner and cookie settings, and stores the record of the choices you make there together with a shortened form of your IP address.
Beyond these, we disclose personal data only where we are required to by law or by a valid order from a Swiss authority or court, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, and the same rules apply to them. We group them into three categories.
| Category | What it does | Set by | Your choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Keeps your basket, lets you sign in and check out, protects the store against fraud, remembers your language and your cookie choices | Shopify, Pandectes | Always on, as the store cannot work without them |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site and where they arrive from | Google Analytics, Shopify | Only with your consent |
| Marketing | Connects your visits to our emails so that we can send messages relevant to what you looked at, and supports the display of reviews | Klaviyo, Judge.me | Only with your consent |
When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies or choose by category. Analytics and marketing cookies are not set until you have made that choice. You can change your mind at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the bottom left corner of every page, where you will also find the current list of individual cookies and how long each one lasts.
Google Analytics processes technical data including a shortened form of your IP address. We also use Google Search Console, which reports on how the site appears in Google Search results. Search Console works from Google's own search data, sets no cookies on our site and does not receive your contact details or order information.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the store, such as the basket or checkout, from working.
How long we keep it
Order records, records of clubs we buy from sellers, invoices and the associated accounting documents are kept for ten years, because Swiss commercial law requires it under Article 957 and following of the Code of Obligations. This includes the record of your sale and the offer we made.
If you ask for an offer and do not go on to sell to us, we keep your request as correspondence, as described below.
If you hold an account with us, we keep it for as long as the account is open. When you close it, we delete the account and its contents, apart from anything covered by the ten-year rule above.
Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe itself, so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
Reviews stay published for as long as the product page they relate to is relevant. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
Correspondence with us is kept for as long as it may be relevant to an order, a warranty claim or a dispute, and is then deleted.
Records of your cookie choices are kept for as long as we need them to show that we respected your choice. Each cookie lasts for the period shown in the cookie settings.
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, after which it is deleted or reduced to aggregate figures.
Data outside Switzerland
Some of the parties named above process data outside Switzerland. Swiss law allows this where the receiving country is recognised by the Federal Council as providing adequate protection, or where the transfer is covered by the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses. The table shows where each party processes your data and which of those bases we rely on.

| Planzer | Switzerland | No transfer abroad |
| Wise | United Kingdom and Belgium | Recognised as adequate |
| Microsoft | Switzerland, with some supporting services in the European Union | Recognised as adequate; any remaining access from the United States is covered by the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework |

| Judge.me | United Kingdom and the United States | The United Kingdom is recognised as adequate; the United States under standard contractual clauses |

You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and you can ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to keep. You can object to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interest, and you can ask to receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format.
Write to hello@secondagolf.ch and we will respond within thirty days. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can raise the matter with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Bern.
Security
We protect your data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections, restricted access and regular review of who can see what. No system is entirely secure, and we ask you not to send confidential information to us by ordinary email.
If a breach occurs that presents a high risk to you, we will inform you and notify the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner as the law requires.
Children
The store is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us their personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site contains links to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data, and we suggest you read their own privacy notices before using them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes or as the law requires. The current version is always the one published here, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
